Ana Elisabete Godinho Pires (BIOPOLIS/CIBIO-InBIO; LARC; FMV-ULHT): Population Genetics and Phylogenetics has been the area of my scientific research. More recently, I’ve been interested in understanding the genetic variability, population structure and phylogeography of the domestic dog, from the Iberian Peninsula and North-West Africa. I’m the principal investigator of WOOF project: “Tracing the origins and evolutionary paths of the Iberian and the Maghreb Dog”, through archaeogenetics. I’ve also been involved in telling the animated story of a dog that lived 7,600 years ago- the oldest almost-complete dog skeleton recorded for the Iberian Peninsula, The Muge dog – A Pre-Historic Friend: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jdAGrL-KbjVMIvnUjRMv3IVrJljn0K6M/view?usp=sharing (English subtitles https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xxME2E2xyhjBs2KHakD1rzaY-U5Opi5l/view?usp=sharing)
