Ludmilla is interested in the genetic variability and population structure of dog populations from the Iberian Peninsula, North and Insular Africa, and Brazil throughout time.

Ludmilla Blaschikoff is a student of the Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (BIODIV) PhD program from the University of Porto and a member of BIOPOLIS/CIBIO-InBIO. Her main interest is the genetic variability and population structure of dog populations from the Iberian Peninsula, North and Insular Africa, and Brazil throughout time. Her thesis focuses on the genomic characterisation of Iberian dogs and its genetic influence on the development of Brazilian dog breeds, ultimately value these genetic resources.
