Filipa Soares is an environmental anthropologist and cultural geographer at the Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Universidade de Lisboa. She holds a DPhil (PhD) in Environmental Geography from the University of Oxford (2020). Current research interests include the politics and histories of wildlife conservation and forest management and human-environment relations, particularly in Portugal and the UK. She participated in a study about the representations of birds and wolves in Portuguese literature and was the co-editor of “As Rapinas Nocturnas na Cultura Popular Portuguesa” [Owls in Portuguese Popular Culture].
